WHAT TO DO
As there are many types of routers we can't have a guide for every type. We will follow the process for a virgin router so you get a rough idea of what you'll need to look for. A simple Google of your router name and type along with Port Forward will normally turn up instructions on how to do this
NOTICE: If you do not enable port forwarding for your Gateway your app you may get a 'Gateway Timeout' error and the App will not work as your router will block communication between the App and Gateway
GET GATEWAY IP
Get Private IP of the Gateway Device
TOP TIP: If you wrote this down when setting up the DHCP Reservation then please move to the next section in this Step
If you didn't write this down then please navigate to connected devices (the wording may be slightly different within your router control panel).
Locate the Gateway device, it will look something like FlexGW_Eth_1-15-14-0246. See fig. 1. Note down the IP address next to the Gateway device, it will look something like 192.168.0.27

Fig. 1: Check Device IP
NAVIGATE TO PORT FORWARDING
Navigate to the Port Forward Section of your router control panel
TOP TIP: You should still be logged into your router Control Panel, if not please log back in. Navigate to the page Port Forwarding (for our router this is located within Security -> Port Forwarding). See fig. 2

Fig. 2: Navigate to Port Forwarding
ENABLE A PORT FORWARD RULE
Follow the page instructions on how to forward a port through your router. You'll need to set the connection type to TCP for the IP Address you have written down and set the start port and end port to forward to 8080. See fig. 3

SAVE / APPLY SETTINGS
Make sure you click Apply Settings or Save
Everything you need to set up inside your router should now be done, you shouldn't really need to go back and change these settings unless you reset your router to factory settings
